Sunday is when the list on the fridge finally meets the free time on the calendar. Maybe it is a raised garden bed, a fence repair, or something you have been putting off since last fall. Whatever the project, the equipment you need probably already exists a few neighbourhoods over — owned by someone who is not using it this weekend and happy to put it to work. A sun-drenched suburban backyard in Vancouver's Lower Mainland on a clear Sunday morning, showing a cheerful homeowner in their mid-30s wearing a worn canvas apron and work gloves, kneeling beside a freshly built cedar raised garden bed with rich dark soil ready for planting. A compact electric tiller and a cordless drill rest nearby on the grass. The scene is bathed in warm golden morning light casting long soft shadows across a neatly trimmed lawn, with a weathered wood fence and mature Pacific Northwest evergreens softly blurred in the background. Shot at a three-quarter elevated angle with a shallow depth of field, the colour palette features warm amber cedar, deep forest green, and clean white trim on the house siding — crisp, optimistic, and grounded in real weekend momentum.
