Not every Sunday is a project day. Sometimes it is the Sunday before the project day — the one where you figure out what you actually need. If equipment is on that list, start with what is already sitting in a garage nearby. A neighbour in Langley has the pressure washer. Someone in New West owns the tile saw. The trailer you need for one trip is two streets over in Coquitlam. Browse what is available in your area before you commit to buying anything. RentalHive.ca

A sun-drenched suburban garage in the Pacific Northwest, wide open on a quiet Sunday afternoon, revealing an organised collection of tools and equipment — a pressure washer, tile saw, and a compact utility trailer partially visible near the back wall. A man in his late thirties, wearing a worn grey t-shirt and jeans, stands at a weathered wooden workbench scrolling through his phone with a relaxed, thoughtful expression, a half-finished coffee mug beside him. Warm golden side lighting streams in through the open garage door, casting long soft shadows across the concrete floor and catching the dust in the air. The colour palette is rich with amber wood tones, cool concrete grey, and hints of deep navy from a toolbox in the corner, punctuated by flashes of orange from a extension cord coiled on a pegboard. Shot at a slightly elevated three-quarter angle with a wide-enough composition to convey depth and context, shallow depth of field keeping the man and nearest tools crisply sharp while the street and neighbourhood greenery outside blur into a soft Pacific Northwest backdrop — mood is calm, grounded, and quietly purposeful.
